How Ghostmails Works
Four steps from zero to private inbox
Generate
Click the "Generate an address" button. A unique temporary email address is instantly created for you — no signup, no personal information needed. Your inbox is ready in under a second.
Use It Anywhere
Copy your temporary address and paste it on any website that asks for your email — free trials, newsletter signups, online forms, app registrations, forum accounts, or anything else. Your real inbox stays protected.
Receive Emails
Incoming emails appear in your inbox in real-time with automatic refresh every 10 seconds. Read them directly in your browser, view full HTML content safely, and download any attachments — all without leaving Ghostmails.
It Vanishes
After one hour (extendable up to 24 hours with the +1h button), your temporary address and all emails are permanently deleted. No trace left behind — on our servers or anywhere else.
When to Use a Temporary Email
Good to Know Before You Start
One hour, twenty-four at most
Addresses expire an hour after creation. The +1h button buys another hour each time, up to a hard ceiling of twenty-four hours from the moment the address was created. There is no way past that ceiling today.
Your browser holds the only key
The inbox is tied to a session cookie, not to an account. Clear your cookies or move to another browser and that inbox becomes unreadable — by you and by anyone else. Copy what matters before you close the tab.
Fifty messages, fifty megabytes
Each address accepts up to 50 messages and 50 MB of attachments in total, and a single message above 25 MB is refused. Generous for a throwaway inbox, and worth knowing if you are expecting a large file.
Receive only
You can read and download, never send or reply. That is a deliberate limit: a disposable service that could send mail would be a spam relay within a day.
